challa attu

challa attu is traditional andhra recipe & Its a Healthy breakfast. This recipe is prepared in olden days. It helps to cool the body same time its taste delicious. challa attu is a very sponge and soft dosa. Here instead of urad dal, curd is used to grind the batter which also helps to incorporate sourness in the batter in addition to the usual fermentation process.
Ingrediants
For Challa Attu:
  1. rice 1 cup
  2. poha 1 cup
  3. curd 1 cup
  4. fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp
  5. ajwain 1/2 tsp
  6. chopped onions 1/2 cup
  7. chopped green chillies
  8. chopped ginger
  9. oil as required
  10. salt as required
Method of Preparation
  • Take a bowl add 1 cup rice, add 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds and add required amount of water soak it for over night.
  • After 8 hours wash it thoroughly and to the blender.
  • Now add washed 1 cup of poha, add 1 cup of curd and grind it into smooth paste.
  • Transfer the batter to the Bowl rest it for 2 hours.
  • After 2 hours add chopped onions, add chopped ginger, chopped green chillies, add ajwain and also add required amount salt mix it properly.
  • Now take dosa pan and start preparing dosa fry it on both sides & serve with Chutney.
