Ravva Idli

Ingrediants
For Ravva Idli:
  1. suji rava or bombay rava 1 cup
  2. fresh curd 2 Cups
  3. salt as required
  4. ghee 1/2 cup
  5. mustard seeds 1tsp
  6. cumin seeds 1tsp
  7. urdadal 1tsp
  8. channa dal 1tsp
  9. pepper corns 1tsp
  10. chopped ginger
  11. chopped green chillies
  12. chopped coriander 1/2 cup
  13. curry leaves
  14. grated carrot 1/2 cup
  15. cashew nuts few
  16. hing pinch
  17. baking soda 1/2 tsp
Method of Preparation
  • take a pan add ghee & once ghee get heated start adding with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, channa dal, uradal, black pepper corns fry it on low flame.
  • Now add chopped ginger, hing, green chillies, curry leaves, grated carrot, chopped coriander and give a good mix.
  • Now add 1 cup suji rava or bombay rava mix it fry it on low flame and turn-off the flame.
  • Now take a bowl add 2 cups of fresh curd add little water make it watery.
  • Now transfer fried suji mixture and add prepared curd into it.
  • Now add salt, backing soda give a mix with whisker.
  • Rest it for 1/2 hour and after completing 1/2 hour take idli plates apply some oil to it.
  • Now start adding idli batter to the idli plate once it done steam it for 15mins on low flame.
  • Rava idli was ready serve it hot with ginger and Coconut Chutney.
