Badam Tea

A simple and healthy beverage recipe made with almond powder. it is generally mixed with warm milk and served as beverage or welcome drink to guests. but the drink is very nutrient as it contains almond & kesar. hence it can be shared with your kids or adults as a daily drink. warm beverages or warm drinks are very common across india and are served for various purpose. generally when it comes to warm drink, cup of tea or frothy milk based coffee takes the top spot. but then there are others indian warm beverages and badam milk recipe with badam powder is one such classic recipe.
Ingrediants
For Badam Powder:
  1. Almonds 100gms
  2. cashew nuts 5 to 6
  3. sugar 1/2 cup
  4. dry ginger powder 1/2 spoon
  5. turmeric powder 1/4 spoon
  6. saffron pinch
  7. green cardamom few
For Badam Tea:
  1. milk 2 cups
  2. tea powder 2tsp
  3. sugar 2tsp
  4. prepared badam mix powder 2tsp
  5. preparation of badam mix
Method of Preparation
  • take a pan add 100gms of almonds fry it on low flame. Once almonds get fried add 5 to 6 cashew nuts fry it turn off the flame.
  • In blender add 1/2 cup sugar, add dry ginger powder 1/2 spoon, add turmeric powder 1/4 spoon, add saffron pinch, add green cardamom few now make this into smooth powder.
  • In the same blender add pan fried almonds & cashews. Now again blend in to smooth powder. we can store this in tight container & we can mix warm milk.

For Badam Tea:
  • Take a vessel add 2 cups of milk, once milk started boiling add 2 tsp of tea powder, add 2 tsp of sugar.
  • Mix it once and boil for 5 to 10 mins.
  • Once we get good color turnoff the flame strain the tea into another vessel.
  • Now add 2tsp of prepared badam mix boil it for 5 mins that's all badam chai was ready.
  • Serve hot with evening snacks.
